Yard Waste Pick Up Schedule

BRANCHES & BRUSH

Place in long low piles at the curb. Branches can be no longer than five feet in length. Pine needles are collected with branches and brush. Tree stumps or large tree trunks in excess of six inches in diameter will not be collected nor accepted at the Tinton Falls Recycling Drop-off. 

Do not mix leaves with branches and brush. 

Brush is collected each month of the year.

Do not place brush and branch out for collection after your street has been picked up. If you miss your scheduled pick-up, you may bring your branches and brush to the Tinton Falls Recycling Drop-off Center located behind Borough Hall. 

LEAVES 
Place in long low piles at the curb. Do not mix leaves with branches, brush or grass and dirt. Leaves are collected only during the months of May, November and December, therefore leaves should not be put out at any other time. You may bring your leaves to the Tinton Falls Recycling Drop-off Center located behind Borough Hall throughout the year.

Material must be placed at the curb no sooner than the Saturday prior to your zone pick-up and no later than 7:00 AM Monday on the week of your scheduled zone pick-up. Violators are liable to receive a summons for non-compliance.

The Borough does not collect mulch, woodchips, dirt or grass.

TINTON FALLS RECYCLING DROP OFF CENTER.
The Center is located behind Borough Hall at 556 Tinton Avenue. It is open Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and Saturday 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Proof of residency is required.

Fourth week of the month.

GRASS 
It is suggested that you cut it and leave it on the lawn. Grass clippings will not be picked up. Do not leave grass clippings at the curb. Do not mix grass clippings with leaves, branches and brush or with household garbage. Grass will not be accepted at the Borough recycling center behind Borough Hall. 

You may take your grass to the Monmouth County Reclamation Center, Grass Drop-off site which is located on Asbury Avenue, West of Shafto Road in Tinton Falls. 

The hours of operation are:  Monday thru Friday: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and Saturday: 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM. 

Drop-off fees are $3.00 per passenger car load or $35.00 per ton. 

Enter through the main landfill entrance and proceed to the scalehouse.

COMPOST AND WOODCHIPS
The rich soil formed from your composted Tinton Falls leaves is available Free at the Tinton Falls Recycling Drop-off site behind Borough Hall. Please take a bucket of this "black gold" and watch it work wonders in your garden! 

Woodchips are also available Free at the drop-off site. Delivery is available at a minimal charge if equipment and manpower are available.
