Some evidence of mold has been found at the Tinton Falls Library. As a precautionary measure, the Library building will be temporarily closed while a full evaluation is being conducted. Patrons can hold on to library materials until we re-open (fines will be waived for overdue books resulting from this closure) or all library materials can be returned to Eastern Branch in Shrewsbury. Additionally, the Tinton Falls Library Association along with the Mayor and Borough Council are awaiting the release of a New Jersey Library Grant that would    provide matching funds to begin the restoration work of the building. • The TF Library and TF Recreation Department have been working together to install a "StoryWalk" at the Sycamore Soccer Complex (next to Atchison Elementary School) on Sycamore Ave.
A StoryWalk involves posting a children's picture book along a nature trail or outdoor walkway to promote literacy and family time in the outdoors.
In October, the town installed permanent display boards along part of the walking trail. (Click here to see a display board).
So far, we've displayed 'Froggy Plays Soccer', 'Harry the Dirty Dog', and 'T is for Turkey'.
During the first week of December, the Recreation Department will display our last book for 2017:  'Bear Stays Up for Christmas'.
Look for more titles in the Spring!
