GREEN INITIATIVE

The Tinton Falls Environmental Commission and Technical Advisory Committee are joining forces to explore the deployment of Green Technologies within the Borough.  The groups will focus on how applying Green Technologies (Solar, Wind, Lighting, etc.) will reduce our carbon footprint while potentially saving tax dollars at the same time.  Please join our meetings to learn more or to contribute your knowledge and expertise.  Also, keep posted to our web site for updates.

»BACK2TAP - This is a program designed to get people to use reusable bottles for their water instead of purchasing plastic bottles of water.  People will save money if they do not purchase the bottled water in the stores.  The Environmental Commission sold the reusable water bottles at Community Day and was quite successful with the sales.  They hope to expand the sale of these bottles in the future.  Profits from the sales are going to the "new" Crawford House renovations.

New Jersey's Clean Energy Program – is a statewide program that offers financial incentives, programs and services for New Jersey residents, business owners and local governments to help them save energy, money and the environment.
