Welcome to the
Borough of Tinton Falls
Current News and Events
Welcome Mayor Gerald M. Turning
NOTICE: Please take notice that the Regular Meeting of the Tinton Falls Planning Board, to be held at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Municipal Complex located at 556 Tinton Avenue, Tinton Falls, has been cancelled.
Parking on Borough streets is prohibited during snow clearing operations. Vehicles may be towed at owner's expense. Residents are asked to remove their automated refuse cans from the curb as soon as possible after collection to allow our snowplows to clear the street of snow adequately.
A Blizzard Warning has been issued with significant snow and high winds expected. Please plan accordingly. If you experience a power outage, please call 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877) or click the "Report Outage" link on www.firstenergycorp.com. Customers should never go near a downed power line, even if they think it is no longer carrying electricity. Extra caution should be used in areas where downed lines are tangled in trees or other debris.

NOTICE: Due to the impending winter weather event, we encourage all residents to stay informed and plan accordingly. Please remember, vehicles must not be parked on Borough streets during snow clearing operations. It is both dangerous to our plow drivers and prevents effective clearing of the road surface. At this time, the Department of Public Works anticipates normal automated refuse collection to those residents regularly scheduled for Monday, January 26. Automated refuse collection normally on Tuesday, January 27 has been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 28. Residents are asked to remove their automated cans from the curb as soon as possible after collection to allow our snowplows to clear the street of snow from curb to curb.
Bulk item collection this week has been cancelled. Residents already scheduled for Bulk item pick-up this Wednesday, January 28 will be collected on February 4 instead. This storm will likely result in several plow passes on each Borough street. It is both unfortunate and unavoidable that snow will be left at the end of resident's driveways each time. Notifications will be made for any further changes to DPW services and found here on the Borough website.
