At the Borough of Tinton Falls, the annual Bring Your Child To Work Day isn’t just about giving kids a glimpse into the working world; it is about inspiring their passion for public service and community involvement during their formative years.

Our hallways came alive with a burst of youthful energy as the children of our valued staff toured the various departments, experiencing firsthand the inner workings of local government. From our Administration and Police Department to our Public Works Department, the young visitors got a taste for the diverse roles and responsibilities their parents carry out daily.

There were interactive activities and workshops geared towards engaging and educating the children about the different aspects of public service. From learning about the importance of recycling and sustainability to exploring the intricacies of local law enforcement, these hands-on activities inspired curiosity and responsibility.

This event was also an opportunity for parents to share the value of hard work, dedication, and community engagement. It was a chance to show them that not all superheroes have a cape or superpowers, sometimes it just means showing up and doing your part. It’s not only about showing them what we do but what they can do.

Our goal is to “Inspire 2 Aspire” the next generation of Leaders, Police Officers, Fire Fighters, Public Works Service Personnel, Engineers, and Administrators who will carry our community forward.
