Directions for Applicants seeking Cannabis Licensing in the Borough of Tinton Falls    

  1. Before submitting an application to Tinton Falls for a cannabis license, you must have either: (1) a CRC-issued conditional license; or (2) a pending annual license application with the CRC that is fully complete except for a resolution of support from a municipality.
  1. Conditional applications to the Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) can be completed online. Visit the Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) website and apply here https://www.nj.gov/cannabis/businesses/ Applicant must be fingerprinted when applying.
  1. Currently the application window is closed. At this time, please use the button below to view a sample application. Class 1 (Cultivator), Class 2 (Manufacturer) and Class 5(Retailer) resolutions of support have been issued. No further applications for Class 1 (cultivator), Class 2 (manufacturer) and Class 5 (retailer) licenses will be accepted or considered.   Class 3 (Wholesaler) and Class 4 (Distributor) no resolutions have been issued at this time and remain open.
  1. Please note, once you begin the application process it must be completed in its entirety. Information will not be saved.
  1. An application fee of $2,500 for each license will be required during the application process. Application fees are non-refundable.
  1. Completed endorsement applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis and will be evaluated on the quality of the required elements.  
  1. The Cannabis Sub-Committee will review completed endorsement applications promptly and make appropriate recommendations to the Borough Council for action. Only those applications received during the stated control period will be submitted to the Sub-Committee for review. 
  1. Upon the Borough Council’s approval, a resolution of support will be issued to the applicant.
  1. Upon confirmation of approval by the CRC, the Borough will then issue a license. The licensing fee of $10,000 will be required to be paid prior to the issuance of a license.
